Concept Designer

Sydney Studio

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Concept Designer to join our Sydney team. An individual with a strong focus and passion for conceptual design who is comfortable working across a variety of media to communicate their ideas.

You are a problem solver that can bring your ideas to life in new and inspiring ways who can take complex real-world challenges and translate them into simple and beautiful design solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Craft compelling design solutions with the end user front of mind
  • Great problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Thrive in a collaborative team, bringing excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be willing to take direction and learn from others
  • Have an appreciation and understanding of technologies, materials, manufacturing processes and operations
  • Be an active member of our UX / UI team with experience in the methodologies and processes associated with this design space
  • Undertake user and product research and prepare compelling presentations

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in industrial / product design
  • 3 – 5 years industrial design experience preferably in consultancy practice
  • Elite level skills in the Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign
  • Skilled in producing concept level 3D CAD models using SolidWorks
  • Rendering skills highly sort after, preferably in Keyshot
  • Experienced in the development of digital design content and curation of social media channels – animations and short videos
  • Ability to communicate your ideas with free-hand sketches

Senior Product Designer

Melbourne Studio

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Designer to join our Melbourne team.

You are a skilled problem solver that can bring conceptual ideas to life in new and inspiring ways, who can take complex real-world challenges and translate them into simple, well resolved and beautiful design solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Live, breathe and love design
  • Craft compelling design solutions using great problem solving and conceptual thinking skills with the end user front of mind
  • Apply a strategic mindset
  • Love to embrace big challenges and tackle them with collaborative workflow
  • Have a strong understanding of technologies, materials, manufacturing processes and operations
  • Be responsible for the detail development of concepts through the product life cycle for a diverse range of product categories
  • Revel in the technical and mechanical solutions you develop and sweat the detail
  • Open to growing into a project management role
  • Ensure product compliance with relevant guidelines, procedures and specifications
  • Preparation of 3D model files and management of production documentation
  • Thrive in a collaborative team, bringing excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be willing to take direction and learn from others

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in industrial design / mechanical engineering
  • 5 – 7 years relevant industry experience
  • Elite level skills in 3D CAD modelling using SolidWorks
  • Rendering skills highly sort after, preferably in Keyshot
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to the wider team and to clients
