2024 IDEA Awards Announcement

We’re excited to announce that two of our clients’ projects have been honoured at the prestigious IDSA International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) overnight in Austin, Texas at a gala celebration of great design. 

Vigilance by NLT Digital Solutions has been awarded the coveted Gold IDEA Award. The product, a world first system that provides a paradigm shift for real time underground mining communications and safety, is the result of a long term partnership between NLT’s team of industry experts and Katapult’s industrial designers, UX designers and mechanical engineers. 

The Gold Award recognises not only design excellence, but the strong collaborative effort that allowed the group to create a product that truly improves underground mining safety and user experience. 

Katapult have also been extremely proud to support our long time client Flite in their collaboration with world renowned industrial designer Marc Newson. The Limited Edition carbon fibre model, designed by Marc Newson, has earned a Silver IDEA Award.

Our team took great pride in providing detailed design and engineering, design for manufacture, production implementation, product testing and visualisation services to the broader project team. This latest model from Flite represents the pinnacle of global eFoil design. 

For us, these awards provide both our clients and our team a ‘moment in the sun’ for the hours of effort and attention to detail that are needed to deliver world class solutions. It is extremely rewarding to see these design-driven partnerships lead to commercial success and industry recognition for our clients.
