Activemask Wins Good Design Gold Award

We’re honoured to be part of the Active Mask team awarded a coveted Australian Good Design Award Gold Accolade today. For our team at Katapult, it’s a reward for hard work and clever thinking. We’re proud to play a small part in helping our front line workers in these times of crisis.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented: “A great design with consideration of user experience, corporate uptake and minimisation of environmental impact. The ability to add a face shield is thoughtful as is the ability to detach filters for cleaning, sterilising or replacement, suggesting a degree of flexibility for organisational users to adapt use over time. Sterilisation via UV light is also a good aspect, particularly for hospital scenarios. Nicely detailed, modular, and contoured with clever use of clear materials to reduce obtrusiveness. The mask looks stable and secure which is an achievement as it can be challenging to design a mask that is comfortable and stays in place all day. An excellent and complete solution.”
