The Tag is a small, connected device that is worn by a worker onsite. The device wirelessly communicates with machinery and other assets on mine sites and helps identify where the wearer is located within the site ecosystem. Communications can alert the wearer and the driver of an approaching vehicle and even implement emergency stop procedures to avoid dangerous collisions.
Big performance, small package
The Personal Tag has been designed from the ground up as connected device that must survive in the harshest conditions. Katapult leveraged our experience designing ruggedised products to produce this IP67 rated, wireless charging wearable.
Its high impact PC/ABS housing, serviceable enclosure and moulded webbing carabiner clip point are small details that deliver a considered, compact and super lightweight safety solution to the NLTD range.
On brand
One of the bonus features of NLTD’s strategy to design their own products from the ground up is that it enabled them to control and celebrate their brand. At first glance some may argue this is unimportant in heavy industry, but this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Katapult has worked closely with NLTD over recent years to deliver products that offer industry-leading features and a compelling UX, but we’ve also made sure the products look great, are iconic and instantly recognisable. The result is a significantly improved brand recognition and the sales figures to prove it.
